This next song is incredibly special to me, because it comes from one of the most important chapters of my life. I wrote it back in the late 1990s for my wife, Adéle. At the time, we had been dating for a year or two, and somewhere along the way I started calling her “my little angel.” It wasn’t just a nickname, it was honestly the only way I could describe how she made me feel. She brought light, peace, kindness, and love into my life in a way I had never experienced before, and to this day, she still does.
Back then, the song began simply as words on paper, thoughts and feelings I was trying to capture about this incredible woman I had fallen deeply in love with. I never imagined those words would one day grow into a fully realised piece of music that I could stand here and share with people. Every lyric carries a piece of my heart, every melody holds a memory, and every note reflects the love I felt then and still feel now.
What makes this song even more meaningful to me is that time has only proven those feelings to be true. So many years later, Adéle is still my best friend, my greatest supporter, and the person who inspires me every single day. I feel truly blessed — not only to have found a love like this, but to have been given the opportunity to turn that love into music.
