“River of Love” was the second track (of twelve) I wrote in the early ’90s, and it really captured the vocal chemistry Gregory Van Heerden and I shared.
It became our obsession, the one song we rehearsed relentlessly for months, exploring different melodies and reworking the chorus again and again until we landed on something we truly believed was special.
At its heart, it’s a powerful love song, a story of a river born high in the mountains, journeying down to the ocean to unite with its lover, the sea.
